Increasing Rain Chances Postpone
SCSCS Opener; Return to Franklin County Speedway Now First on 2023
Schedule
Statesville,
North Carolina (May 19, 2023) – An initial bright and sunny
forecast unfortunately turned progressively more uncertain as
Saturday, May 20th neared closer.
As a result, Super Cup Stock Car Series and Pulaski County
Motorsports Park officials have agreed to postpone the evening’s
originally scheduled festivities.
The SCSCS portion
of the program has been added to Saturday, July 22nd.
Any potential further rearrangements to surrounding dates
currently on the 2023 schedule will be made and announced as needed.
Instead, the season
opening event will now take place at Franklin County Speedway on
Saturday, June 3rd. It
is a return to an old favorite as the Callaway, Virginia track, led
by the efforts of Langley Austin’s Moonshine Capital Promotions,
has not been on the SCSCS schedule since 2011.
The high-banked 3/8-mile has seen a resurgence in popularity
in recent years and the series looks forward to being a part of
their weekend’s Calvin Brooks Memorial event.
