Two Rounds of SCSCS Championship Series Part of Jam-Packed
Festivities and Free Grandstand Admission at Jennerstown
  Statesville,
            North Carolina (September 7, 2022) – The 2022 championship
stretch begins with two return visits to tracks that had previously
featured exciting Super Cup Stock Car Series racing action earlier
            in the year.  First up
will be the 1/2-mile oval in the Laurel Highlands, Jennerstown
Speedway Complex, this Saturday.   Jason Kitzmiller
enters the weekend with the most momentum, currently leading the
overall standings by 82 points and having won twice at the track the
most recent time there in July.
Fellow West Virginian Brent Nelson cannot be counted out
            though.  Although trying
to claim victory number one of the season, he has led a total of 87
laps this year and has won eight prior times at Jennerstown.   Multiple drivers
that were not in attendance a couple months back intend to be this
            time around.  That list
includes recently relocated to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania resident Ron
Langdon, who has led 23 laps and scored five top five finishes at
the facility in the past.  In
addition, Renick, West Virginia’s Harvey Harrison has plans to be
in attendance at the same place in which he claimed the 2016
championship and won on one occasion in 2018.    John
Komarinski was unable to compete in July, which created the
opportunity for his nephew Kyle Komarinski to make his series debut.
This time around they will split the driving duties on board
the iconic No. 33 in their home state.
Jeff Thomas, formerly from Pennsylvania and now residing in
Virginia, also has intentions on participating in Saturday’s
            festivities.
   The twin main
events will be part of the program which includes heat races and
features for all six local divisions.
Practice is slated to begin at 2:45 p.m. with qualifying
taking place at 5:25 p.m.  The
first of the Super Cup Stock Car Series Championship Series rounds
will get underway at 6:00 p.m. with a planned autograph session in
the midway for fans between races.   On top of all that,
grandstand admission on Saturday will be free in recognition of
suicide prevention month, in which a “Good Vibes Save Lives”
concert fundraiser will be held the following day by the Somerset
            County Suicide Prevention Task Force.
Grandstand gates on race day officially open at 4:00 p.m.   More information
can be found on the Super Cup Stock Car Series official web site supercupstockcarseries.com
with interactive updates throughout race day available on Facebook
