As in 2008 the series will close out
its season at HMS, the place where it all began.
Hickory
Speedway
is a special track for our series for many reasons.
Its known as the birthplace of the
Nascar stars, it is also the birthplace of Super Cup.
In October of 07 an exhibition race
was held at the historic track to see if anyone was interested in a
low cost tour series. The answer was undoubtedly yes, The Super Cup
Series will be ending its third year of operation at the famed track
on October 2nd.
Our 2010 Champion will be Honored as
well as the Rookie of the Year and all of the drivers that have
supported our series.
Xtreme Trophies night at the races
will feature twin ISCAR races along with Super Cup 100.

A&G Night at the Races,
Presented by Virginia Mining Association and Friends of Coal
The Super Cup Series made it's annual
stop at Lonesome Pine Raceway for a very special night of racing,
The Coal Miners 100. This year the Super Cup cars ran their
traditional 100 lap event. In addition, several
local divisions were on hand for this exciting night, including
Chargers, Pure 4s as well as Legends and Renegades.
This year was even bigger with an on
track autograph session for all divisions before the racing action
got underway. Making the night even more special was the
ISCARS series running twin fifty lap feature events.

AT LONESOME PINE RACEWAY FOR A GOOD CAUSE FOR THE A&G COAL
MINERS 100
A&G
Coal Corporation, one of the areas largest economic contributors and
employers in the Wise County area, is now a part of Southern Coal
Corporation, a multi-state employer in the mining industry with
subsidiaries in Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and Virginia.
It is A&G’s privilege to be the sponsor of the Super
Cup Stock Car Series and teaming up with them to support the Food
Bank of Wise County, Inc. It
is also with great pleasure that A&G is joined by the Virginia
Mining Association and all of our Friends of Coal as an associate
sponsor in our efforts to help the Food Bank and the community.
Community is the basis on which A&G was built and when
the community is in need, we are glad to help.
Saturday,
August 7, A&G Coal will host its third annual Race Night at The
Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, VA featuring the Super Cup Stock
Car Series Coal Miner’s 100 along with the ISCAR Series and the
Diamond Lawn service Legends series.
Admissions for the evening’s racing action are $10-Adult,
$5-Children 7-12 and 6 and under are free.
Wise County Food Bank Volunteers will be on hand to take up
donations of non-perishable canned or packaged food items and those
fans donating food will receive $1 off per can (limit 3 cans per
fan) totaling $3 off front gate admission to the races that
night’s activities. Where
else can you enjoy racing at a reasonable price and support a needy
cause at the same time?

Harrison
Wins at Motor Drome Speedway
The
# 75 Ford Fusion set fast time in qualifying and then drew the sixth
spot for the start, once again Harvey Harrison # 51 drew the Ace to
start from the pole after qualifying third.
Harvey
would
lead the first half of the race with son
Brian # 15 running a close second.
At
the half way point # 51 had the five bonus points as the Hurricane
made the pass to lead the second half of the race tying the # 51 for
most laps led.

Michael
Mohelski Ready To Make Pro Cup Debut at the Motor Mile

Michael
Mohelski of Frederick, Maryland; the 24 year old Super Cup Series
Rookie of the Year will be making his first start in USARacing Pro
Cup Series at the Motor Mile Speedway on July 17th in the Heritage
Truck Centers 250.
The
winter was spent preparing for his move to the Pro-Cup. The
off season saw many challenges for Michael and team, having to
convert there car from Super Cup to Pro-Cup required a complete new
body and many hours of preparation. During the winter the team
had the engine refreshed at Automotive Specialties in Mooresville to
assure that it would be up to the challenge.
