Threat of Inclement Weather Yet
Again Cancels SCSCS 2026 Plans for Ona Speedway
Statesville,
North Carolina (September 11, 2026)
– With the threat of strong storms and potential flash flooding,
the Super Cup Stock Car Series has made the decision in coordination
with Ona Speedway officials to withdraw the Putnam County Bank Twin
40s portion from Saturday’s schedule.
Unfortunately,
with available dates running out for 2026, the SCSCS will instead
look to its 20th Anniversary season for the next visit to West
Virginia’s only asphalt short track in 2027.
The races originally scheduled for August 15th at Tri-County
Speedway in North Carolina will also not be made up.
This
leaves “Valley to Victory” Championship Night as what remains in
this year’s campaign at Shenandoah Speedway on Saturday, October
10th. The twin races
will crown the 2026 series champion and additional award recipients,
who will all be recognized during the annual post-season trophy
presentation scheduled to take place immediately following the final
checkered flag.
Several
more exciting details will be announced within the coming days and
weeks with future information available at the official web site supercupstockcarseries.com,
on Facebook (search Super Cup Stock Car Series), Twitter (@SCSCSRacing),
Instagram (SCSCS_Racing), and https://www.youtube.com/SCSCSRacing.
