Concluding
2025 Events Set for Shenandoah and Tri-County
Statesville,
North Carolina (September 10, 2025) – Rainouts, curfews, and
other circumstances have altered in multiple ways what was
originally scheduled for the 2025 Super Cup Stock Car Series
campaign. Nevertheless,
an exciting last couple events are now on tap before the year is
out.
Track promoter
Chris Lilly has invited the series back to Shenandoah Speedway on
Saturday, October 4th as part of their own season championship
matinee. The series
initially intended to visit the 3/8-mile progressively banked oval
twice with the Veterans Classic to be held in July when high storm
chances pushed the event back to Labor Day Weekend.
Then the second race on that night was unable to be completed.
As a result and as a late addition to their agenda for the
day, the first of twin 35-lap main events will award the final of
the 2025 Veterans Classic trophies.
The second race of
the afternoon will decide the champion as well as many other
positions inside the top 10 in final points.
Following that checkered flag, the annual awards presentation
will take place on the Northern Virginia track property.
SCSCS individuals that were in attendance and paid a pit pass
on August 30th will be admitted at a discounted rate.
As an added bonus,
the SCSCS has reached an agreement to hold a pair of non-points
races at a North Carolina venue they will be returning to for the
first time since concluding the 2022 season.
Tri-County Speedway was the site of one of the first
exhibition races at the end of 2007 and the inaugural official
points race for the series in early 2008.
The facility has undergone significant improvements in the
last few years under the leadership of the Higgins family and
current general manager Skip Moser.
The
SCSCS looks forward to going once again to the 0.4-mile oval with
the intent of making it back for 2026 and resuming a positive
tradition in the region.

will become available closer to each event and can be found on the
