Season Opening SCSCS Event at Lonesome Pine PostponedStatesville,
North Carolina (May 2, 2024) – The commencement of the 2024
Super Cup Stock Car Series season will have to wait a little bit
longer. Due to the
uncertainty of inclement weather expected for this Saturday,
Lonesome Pine Motorsports Park made the early decision to postpone
racing activity for the weekend.
Series officials will be working with track staff on a
possible reschedule date for the Coalminers Classic twin SCSCS
races. In the meantime,
sights are set on the next, and now first, scheduled event of the
season. The annual
Veterans Classic takes place at Shenandoah Speedway on Saturday,
June 1st. The
progressively banked 3/8-mile oval returns to its traditional
weekend after closing out 2023 with some exciting action that
featured three different race leaders and Petersburg, West
Virginia’s Brent Nelson earning the checkered flag in both main
events. More details will
