MAVTV Air Times Announced for SCSCS Beginning September 2016

Mount Joy, Pennsylvania (August 17, 2016) – In January, the Super Cup Stock Car Series (SCSCS) and the MAVTV motorsports network originally announced the exciting intention to televise multiple 2016 events.  After much anticipation, air dates and times have been released.

SCSCS, billed as Racin’ the Way It Used to Be, is enjoying its ninth season of competition, touring around short tracks throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.  600 horsepower, 3,300 pound steel-bodied stock cars, many of which originated from the former Hooters Pro Cup Series, are featured in the unique race formats.

The broadcasts, 30 minutes in length, will premiere on Thursday, September 1 with a regular air time of 3:30 p.m. EDT every week.  Viewers on the west coast will have the opportunity to watch in primetime the following Tuesday beginning on September 7 at 10:00 p.m. PDT.  Additional opportunities for each event will be available for viewers nationwide to watch as well.  Please visit www.supercupstockcarseries.com and www.mavtv.com for full listings and more information.

The initial show will spotlight the 2016 season kickoff at Midvale Speedway (OH) with the Hilltop General Store 75 presented by Frontier Tool & Equipment.  The following week showcases the final visit ever to Ohio’s Columbus Motor Speedway, which is set to close its doors at the conclusion of the year.

Ensuing weeks highlighting each of the American Racer Tire "Night at the Races" presented by Patrick Miller Photography from the historic Jennerstown Speedway (PA), and the return of the cars and stars to Lonesome Pine Raceway (VA) for the first time since 2010 are also scheduled for the month of September.

Each telecast is presented by Sopwith Motorsports Television Productions of Indianapolis.

The Super Cup Stock Car Series shows will be a thrilling must see for viewers and fans of affordable and old school stock car racing in its most grassroots form.

MAVTV is currently available on DirectTV, Comcast, Google Fiber, Time Warner Cable, Verizon and Charter, along with many others.
