Super
Cup Stock Car Series Sets Presence in West Central Pennsylvania;
Releases 2015 Schedule
Skyland,
North Carolina (September 30, 2014) – The Super Cup
Stock Car Series has reached a long-term agreement with CNB Bank
Raceway Park for 2015 and beyond, which will include three visits to
the Clearfield, Pennsylvania facility during the new season.
“The series promotes itself as
‘racing the way it used to be’ which is exactly what people
need,” said CNB Bank Raceway Park president Tim Bainey Jr.
“It is an affordable way to have fun, in a great
atmosphere, with good competition, and set up in a way that
resembles what NASCAR racing was a few years ago when it was so
popular. The series really has it all and that is why I am making a
personal commitment to helping bring this series to our region.”
The season will begin at the 5/8-mile
asphalt oval on Saturday, May 2, 2015 and additional appearances
will take place in June and August.
Tim’s brother Dan Bainey made his Super Cup debut with a
fourth place finish at Jennerstown Speedway in September, another
track in the region along with a return to Motordrome Speedway that
have committed to the 2015 schedule as well.
“I believe the Super Cup Stock Car
Series is the key to the future of asphalt racing in this part of
the country,” continued Bainey. “I am really looking forward to
seeing this grow in a way that will keep racing affordable for those
of us who love it – long into the future.”
Annual trips to Ohio tracks Columbus
Motor Speedway and Midvale Speedway are also planned for the 2015
season.
More details regarding the
partnership can be viewed on CNB Bank Raceway Park’s official web
