Motordrome
Speedway Hosts Keystone State Bound SCSCS
The
Super Cup Stock Car Series returns for the third time to Motordrome
Speedway with the Ansel's Tire Outlet 50 presented by McGunegill
Engine Performance.
SCSCS
saw a first time winner in the inaugural visit to Motordrome
followed by a series veteran claiming victory last year. The
stage is set with several drivers who have never been to victory
lane in SCSCS competition poised to revive the feat. We'll
also see if the third time is a charm for one of the new series
drivers.
Jerry
Tunney from Clarks Summit, PA
will be making his first start of the season driving the #47 for
Brent Cross. Veteran driver, Kevin Kromer returns to the speedway looking
his first win of the year. In addition, Kevin's son, Kyle,
will be making his first start in the series driving the #52
car. Lou Ansel will be driving his #9 entry at his home track
for the first time since joining the series last season. A total of
four drivers hailing from Pennsylvania are conformed entries.
However, another local favorite, defending race winner Todd Peck, is
busy making preparations to race the NCWTS event at Iowa
Speedway and will unable to compete.
This
round of SCSCS competition is sponsored by Ansel's Tire Outlet,
located in nearby McClellandtown. Ansel's is the area's
leading provider of quality tires and service in southwest PA. Presenting sponsorship for this race comes from McGunegill
Engine Performance of Muncie,
IN
which provides engines to many SCSCS racers dating back the origins
of the Super Cup Stock Car Series.
