Pack
Scores First Win at Old Dominion Speedway
Manassas,
VA (July 30, 2011) - Webb's Auto Body 100 Presented by Boschett
Timepieces.
There
are many places in and around Manassas that are famous for their
battles.
History
has shown that the people in this part of the country will defend
their home land. A
small battle of sorts occurred at Old Dominion Speedway on Saturday,
it might not be recorded in the history books of our country or even
be talked about, however it will be talked about inside the series
and at least one race shop in Virginia.
Competitors
came from five states all wanting to win the first ever Super Cup
race at ODS. Like
many races in the series it was a day of first's, first race at this
track, first race to be filmed. It will be recorded in series
history that defending champion Jody Harrison set fast time in
qualifying and J J Pack was the first Super Cup winner at this
track.
J
J Pack said in victory lane, It's hard to find the words to describe
the feeling of winning our first race, and to do it at our home
track in front of our sponsors and fans is just unbelievable. We
knew we could win a race in Super Cup if things went our way and
today was the day. I want to thank all the people that made this
victory possible. And a very special thanks to Mike Webb for all his
support.
The
race was sponsored by Webb's Auto Body of Manassas and Presented by
Boschett Timepieces.
In
the first four races of 2011 there has been four different winners,
four different pole sitters.
If
you want to know what happens next, you will have to come to Midvale
Speedway in Ohio on 8/13/11 to find out.
Notes:
Craig
Wood # 13 & John Sullivan # 19 of Culpeper Va.
Along
with 2010 ROTY Damian Jenks
All
made their first start of the year at ODS.
