Mohelski Ready To Make Pro Cup Debut at the Motor Mile

Michael
Mohelski of Frederick, Maryland; the 24 year old Super Cup Series
Rookie of the Year will be making his first start in USARacing Pro
Cup Series at the Motor Mile Speedway on July 17th in the Heritage
Truck Centers 250.
The
winter was spent preparing for his move to the Pro-Cup. The
off season saw many challenges for Michael and team, having to
convert there car from Super Cup to Pro-Cup required a complete new
body and many hours of preparation. During the winter the team
had the engine refreshed at Automotive Specialties in Mooresville to
assure that it would be up to the challenge.
The
# 12 Impala will be sporting sponsorship from Hunt Consulting as
well as support from his father and team. The Hunt consulting
Chevrolet will have long time competitor Mike Kurkowski of Sho-Time
Motorsports on hand make the transition to Pro Cup a little smoother
for the team.

At
age six Michael started racing quarter midgets in a car fielded
by his Crew Chief/Owner/Sponsor/Father Mike Mohelski
-
Winning
over one hundred races and Seven Grand National championships in
his quarter midget career.

Over
the years he competed in Legend cars before moving on to USAC
Rord Focus Midgets in 2008.

2009
saw Michael try his hand in stock cars, amassing an impressive
record running the full 2009 Super Cup Series schedule finishing
third in the points with,
a win at Ona
Speedway, 7 top five finishes and 9 top ten finishes. To
top a successful season Michael was also named Super Cup Stock
Car Series Rookie of the Year.
