 Super
Cup Heads to Lonesome Pine for A&G Coal Corporation Night at the
Races Saturday August 8th
Skyland, North Carolina (July 21,
2009) - Summer in the mountains of Southwest Virginia is about
to be rocked when A&G Coal Corporation welcomes back the Super
Cup Stock Car Series to Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, Virginia
on August 8, 2009. A&G
is having their 2nd Annual A&G Coal Race Night at the
Pine Company Picnic. The
Super Cup Stock Car Series is proud to be a part of the A&G’s
Picnic and Family Day. This
year is going to be a little different in format, the Super Cup cars
will be competing in Twin 50 lap events scheduled in part with the
local weekly competitors at Lonesome Pine, to include the Charger
Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure 4’s and Legends divisions.
In August 2008, the race crowd was
over 2,000 strong, filled with race fans wanting to witness the
christening of Lonesome Pine by the newly formed Super Cup Stock Car
Series in their first visit to one of the best short tracks in the
country. And from the
driver’s standpoint, they were in love with it and are excited
about returning to LPR, but this time to compete for two trophies!
There will be an autograph session at
6:30pm on the front stretch so the fans can get an up-close look at
the cars and meet the drivers who command these 600hp, steel bodied
machines, Racing action is slated to begin at 7pm.
So
be sure to mark your calendars for August 8, 2009 for the 2nd
Annual A&G Race Night at the Pine featuring the Super Cup Stock
Car Series and watch them rock the mountains at the Pine!
