2009 Season Kicks Off at Columbus Motor Speedway

Skyland, North Carolina (March 1, 2009) - Columbus Motor Speedway will kick off the Super Cup Series second season.

May 16th will see the return of Super Cup racing to Ohio.

It is with great pleasure that we open up our season at Columbus Motor Speedway.

We want the Ohio fans to see our type of racing.

Super Cup cars have six hundred horse power and put on quite a show.

100 laps of green flag racing.

2009 racing season promises to be a good one.

A new crop of rookies are signed up and ready try their hand in a Super Cup car.

Last year two rookie drivers from Ohio won five of the ten races and finished 1st and 2nd in the points.

Ryan Miller of South Charleston won two races and the series championship.

Megan Reitenour of Miamisburg won three races and the rookie of the year honors.

A list of the rookie drivers will be posted soon, one of them is from Ohio.

We would like to thank Jeff Nuckles and his staff for giving us the opportunity to race at one of the best known short tracks in Ohio.
