Finally:  Fortune Smiles Upon SCSCS First-Time Winners Langdon and Potter at Midvale

Midvale, Ohio (August 12, 2019) – With more than half of the starting field in Saturday’s My Water Doctor “Night at the Races” presented by Racing Radios being composed of non-winners in Super Cup Stock Car Series competition, the likelihood was high that one could break through into victory lane.  After all the dust from the twin 50-lap races settled at Midvale Speedway though, there were two who celebrated such a feat.

Current point leader Kevin Kromer established himself as the car to beat early, pacing practice and then setting his third fast time of the year with a time of 14.919 seconds, a scant 0.071 margin over Harvey Harrison.  2009 SCSCS champion Tyler Nuckles was on hand to compete in the Open Modified 50-lap race that was also part of the 3/10-mile oval’s festivities and holds the record for most wins in a single season, a mark that Kromer is on track to possibly tie or even break.

Annual Pilgrimage to Midvale Sets the Pivotal Stage for Remainder of 2019 SCSCS Campaign

Statesville, North Carolina (August 6, 2019) – Improvement and momentum are two strategies that are likely to be overheard in the pit area on Saturday at Midvale Speedway.  The 3/10-mile oval located a half hour south of the Pro Football Hall of Fame will host the Super Cup Stock Car Series for the ninth straight season and returns to their familiar original August date.

Arriving to Ohio, two drivers have set the bar so far in 2019, but even with this year’s point structure allowing for a couple races with worse than expected results to be disregarded, they will be looking to increase their season total as much as possible going into the final stretch of events.

Ebeling’s First Salem Trip a Success; Two Wins Surge Him to South Division Title Lead

Salem, Indiana (July 28, 2019) – Ben Ebeling knew he had to show up and perform at Salem Speedway in order to continue defending his Super Cup Stock Car Series Southern Division title from 2017 and 2018.  The Inaugural “Super Cup 100” was a necessity in order for the Hickory, North Carolina driver to meet the minimum eligibility of six races by the conclusion of the event in the Hoosier State to stay in the hunt after a slow start to get going in the 2019 season.

Series Regulars Taking Varied Approaches toward Inaugural “Super Cup 100” at Salem Speedway

Statesville, North Carolina (July 23, 2019) – Months of anticipation have culminated into this upcoming weekend, the first ever appearance of the Super Cup Stock Car Series on the 33-degree banked corners of Indiana’s Salem Speedway.  Being dubbed the Inaugural Super Cup 100, the Eddie Gilstrap Motors 50 and Ford Dealers 50 will feature the traditional Twin 50-lap format for the series with each race counting toward the Overall, North, and South championships.

With the incredibly storied facility being a new one for a majority of the series competitors, the wildcard aspect has some with mixed emotions and goals leading into Saturday, especially among those who are amidst a season-long points battle.

A Touch of Midwest Flavor Adds to SCSCS Tradition for Inaugural Salem Visit

Statesville, North Carolina (July 21, 2019) – When it was announced in December that the Super Cup Stock Car Series would be branching out to the Crossroads of America, it not only developed a feeling of excitement for the established competitors but gained the attention of some who may previously have not been familiar with the touring division which holds events across five other states.

Now inching closer to the inaugural series event to be held at Indiana’s Salem Speedway, a few rather experienced drivers have announced their intention to join the regulars as part of the festivities.

One of the Hoosier State racers who will be returning after quite a few years away from the track located approximately 30 miles from where he resides in New Albany, Indiana is Josh Clemons.

Kromer Takes Two in Jennerstown; Acquires SCSCS Point Lead

Jennerstown, Pennsylvania (July 14, 2019) – A picture perfect evening had a similar final result to a couple earlier events in the 2019 Super Cup Stock Car Series, but the journey toward that outcome thrilled the packed Jennerstown Speedway Complex audience with intense side by side racing throughout the field.

Late Saturday afternoon, Kevin Kromer picked up his second Pole Award of the year with a strong second qualifying lap, 0.120 seconds faster than his main opponent in the season-long championship, Ron Langdon.

It was clear sailing for the Walnutport, Pennsylvania driver in the first of the Twin 50-lap races at Jennerstown presented by Racing Radios, as on the opening lap he accelerated ahead of Mike Potter, who claimed the first starting position during the redraw.

Despite numerous participating racers that called Jennerstown home in the past on a weekly basis also in attendance, Kromer’s win was a favorable one in front of the Keystone State fans.  Cheering him on from the first series appearance in 2014, through his cancer diagnosis in 2016, and in the recent years following his recovery has been something very meaningful for the K2 Motorsports team and family.
